All catalogue requirements overview

On this page you will find an overview of all catalogue requirements (BMECat, CSV file and additional requirements).

    Catalogue creation via bmecat

BMEcat 1.2 is a standardised format (XML file) for exchanging product information and conditions. BMEcat was developed by the German Federal Association of Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics (Bundesverband Materialwirtschaft, Einkauf und Logistik e. V. (BME)).

BMEcat 1.2 is the Mercateo catalogue format. In principle, the catalogue must comply with the BMEcat 1.2. specification.

In the download section we have provided the BMEcat 1.2 specification and a sample catalogue. The summary of the article “BMEcat elements” contains an overview of the most important BMEcat 1.2 fields and related requirements.

    Catalogue creation via CSV file

The catalogue format for Unite is BMEcat 1.2, a predefined XML format. Alternatively, to create your electronic catalogue we can recommend our workflow based on Excel spreadsheets. You can read more about this at:

This list contains all UNSPSC codes that SAP Ariba accepts in the Spot Buy module. If you not able to add the version UNDP unspsc_v9.0501 to your catalogue, you can use this list to check if your codes are accepted in the SAP Ariba Spot Buy area.
