UNSPSC (United Nations Standard Products and Services Code) is a global classification system that helps you categorise products in a clear, consistent way for e-procurement. Visit www.unspsc.org for more information.
For Unite Spotmarket catalogues, adding UNSPSC codes is optional. Some Unite customers use UNSPSC codes to control their product views. If items aren’t assigned correctly, they may not appear for those customers. If you’re creating an Exclusive Catalogue for a specific customer, follow any requirements they’ve set.
Implementing UNSPSC in your catalogue (XML format)
Include the UNSPSC code in the ARTICLE_FEATURES section.
Always write UNSPSC in capital letters and add the version number with a hyphen, e.g. UNSPSC-17.01 or UNSPSC-13.5.
UNSPSC codes are either 8 or 10 digits long.
You can write UNSPSC codes with or without hyphens, e.g. 50-36-36-11 or 50363611.
You can also provide other classifications per item (such as ECLASS or ETIM). Create a separate <REFERENCE_FEATURE_SYSTEM_NAME> block for each classification system.
Implementing UNSPSC in your catalogue (CSV format)
Enter the UNSPSC version in the ‘REFERENCE_FEATURE_SYSTEM_NAME’ column and enter the UNSPSC code in ‘REFERENCE_FEATURE_GROUP_ID’.
