EDI interfaces for buyers
With a standardised electronic data interchange (EDI), you can automate processes and securely exchange documents – such as purchase orders, dispatch notifications, invoices, and self-billing documents – between your system and Unite in real time. Connecting via EDI interfaces reduces manual effort and the risk of errors, speeds up the processing of your business data, and helps you save on paper and postage costs.

Overview of available interfaces
PunchOut (OCI or cXML)
PunchOut allows users to create a shopping basket on Unite and transfer it as a purchase requisition to your ERP system.
EDI interfaces
We offer EDI interfaces for the following electronic documents and business processes:
Transmitting orders to Unite (known as Order Inject)
Exporting order copies from Unite (Order Export)
How the technical setup works
Phase 1: Discovery & preparation
A Unite Sales Team representative can advise you on setting up EDI for your company. Following this, a member of Unite’s EDI Team will contact you to define the format and transport protocols that best fit your requirements. At this point, you can discuss any specific customisation needs.
Phase 2: Development & testing
Together, we’ll set up a test environment with access on both sides and exchange test documents. If needed, we can exchange documents by email in advance of setting up the test environment to avoid any delays. We use these documents to configure the interface and, if necessary, make adjustments until all data is being transferred and processed correctly.
Phase 3: Go-live
After successful testing, we’ll set up access in both the Unite live system and your environment, then activate the interface. Productive data exchange can begin.
